SPECIAL NEEDS FOR 2010

Camp of the Hills has special needs that come up from time to time. The Lord uses His people to meet these needs in various and sometimes intriguing ways. Often the communication of the need is the only hindrance to meeting the need. The following are some of the immediate needs for 2010. Can you help us? 

1. Being blessed with over 100 hundred acres of beautiful Texas Hill Country has its many advantages. Even though part of the camp experience is walking and climbing the beautiful landscape the reality of having things ready in distant areas of camp requires ATV transportation. Our camp director, nurse, and staff are constantly in need of transportation of everything from an injured child to equipment needed at a sports field. Our 2005 Polaris Ranger ATV has a blown engine. We need a used engine or another bench seat type ATV such as a John Deere Gator to use this summer. We also need 2 other regular ATVs for our summer camp director and Nurse. If you can give, loan, or provide any solutions to our transportations needs please contact us immediately.

2. As you might imagine we use lots of ice during our long Texas summers. Last summer our large capacity ice machine reached a stage where the repair man said that he could no longer revive it to a workable state. We need a machine that can produce at least 300 pounds of ice per day. Can you help? 

3. With more than 35 buildings and 100 acres we are in constant need of vacuum cleaners, lawn mowers, weed eaters, rakes, shovels, etc. to help us maintain the facilities. We could even use some big items like a back hoe, small bulldozer, or tractor. Can you help by supplying any of these items in working condition?
